Good quote for current state of mine
Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.

New hairdo from Jakarta
Currently still in Jakarta for 3days business trip. Got myself a new hairdo from Johnny Andrean, which my client highly recommended me for their creambath (that is actually hair spa, with massage). So I got myself a hair cut, since they have no time for perming or coloring. When the stylist was blowing my hair I thought the hair is as big as Rosmah's hairdo LOL. I tried to contain my laugh and stylist saw me smiling he thought that I was so happy to see new hair style. It didn't turn out that bad anyways. Quite a nice one, provided I can blow the same style like the hair stylist did.
And, I also got myself a pair of heels from Pedro outlet for 559k, so it should be around RM150. Now I regretted a bit for getting the wedge from Shelley...nevertheless, let's share my joy!

Stepping into the big 3
Happy birthday to myself.
I'm glad that I have all the blessings from friends from all over the world. Old friends, new friends and most of all, my BFFs :D
I want to note it down in case I forgot in the future.
So apparently the girls Jen,Jes,Shum,Zynn has planned to give me a surprise birthday celebration this round.
So Jen and Jes notified me that they wanna give me a bday treat on 28/9 and will pick me up to head to Publika for dinner. Okay, so after work I head home for a shower and Jen comes to pick me up with Edwin and Wei Kiang.
Apparently when we reached there, I saw Shum and Jensen! And when I was approaching the chairs, I saw Zynn and David! Wow, they planned and travelled north to KL to celebrate my birthday for me. And after dinner and chit chatting, Jen said she ordered some dessert. I wasn't thinking that much too.
Then there was this nice birthday song (different from the contemporary ones) playing; I didn't even notice it's a birthday song! And there are cake and flowers coming out :D
Totally surprised!
I'm glad that I have these besties in my life and really love me for who I am.
On the other note, I am also glad with myself for the achievements for this year, before officially turning into 30.
I visited Laos with Chee Lin
I got myself a new job
I made my way to Mt KK and conquered her
I visited Shanghai for business trip
I did my first triathlon - that was a relay but I am really interested in doing a sprint next time!
I did Malaysia's first Viper Challenge
I managed to plan for a dive trip to Sipadan with 14 of us, huge group isn't it :P
I got my keys for new place
I did my first 10km run in Standard Chartered marathon
I have officially graduated from UM as a MBA with scroll on hand!
More good things to come!
Thank God for all the blessings :D

Viper Challenge 2013
Alrighty, I know it has been a while since I update my blog - again. So what I am up to?
I just finished the Viper challenge yesterday so I guess I shall blog about it. On the note, I am suffering from whole body muscle pain and sun burnt. The muscle pain seems like worse than the one I got from Mt. KK, considering that's only lower body and this is full body. Pain intensity - should be same level though...and my last sun burnt was 2010 in Germany! hmm
I joined the event when Wei wei and Lulu called me if I wanna join them as a team. It's a 20km run with obstacle and 4 in a team. So I thought, oh well 4 in a team so it's not exactly 20km then. I quickly check online on the info and I saw some obstacle that daunts me - monkey bar... I have never did that before and I don't know how to play with that. Nevertheless, thinking that I should challenge and push both my fitness and determination I give it a go. The event was just 2 weeks away.
So yesterday I woke up at 4, actually I can't wake up, Lulu was here to fetch me and she called, luckily I have already packed up. So after fetch me and wei wei, we headed to Sepang International Circuit. Then only I realized that, it was a 20km run, each person has to do the 20km, and with obstacle. Okay, okay, since I am already there, I can only succumb to the fate. I thought it was a relay... Nevertheless, we were registered for the 720am batch since the registration wasn't done completely. Luckily Suanie was there to help out on the registration and she settle it for us. It started to rain when we reach there at 530+, heavier and heavier.
So, we rested around the registration area waiting for our time to start off, and I literally just lay on the floor to get some sleep. Fast forward to 720am. We walked to the starting point, where the F1 cars will start their race, and voila, run. The first obstacle was on the grass, with mud, where there's net, and we have to crawl underneath the net. But it was ok, not really crawling as the net is quite loose and we just bend our body to go through. Then continue to run again.. what was the second obstacle huh.. climb over the wall made by planks? Can't remember clearly already, because there were a few wooden walls to get over with. That was where team work supposed to happen. I stepped on Lulu's thigh and climb over. I realized my landing wasn't good because I felt the impact on my foot. That actually happened a few times when I did my landing, thus I was afraid of doing that. There's another obstacle where by we need to jump in a icy cold box of water and get through, go down to the muddy tunnel, balancing bar which if you fall you will fall into water, uphill, downhill, climb the hills with grabbing the rope (luckily I have this experience when I went to Mt KK), slide from a big natural slide by terrain (and got injured on both my elbows), run on tyres, crawl underneath barb wires, climb over a hill of tyres, climb over a pile of dry grass, and a number of wooden walls. Oh yes, the monkey bars too. I tried to grab the second bar and I don't know how to continue, thus, I skipped it.
There were many times that I tried to resume running and after 20 secs or so, my calf started to cramp slightly. And I know I need to slow down and walk. Both calves. It has been a long time since I work out until the cramp feeling comes. Not even Mt KK. So I guess since I was in the university for swimming huh..
Finally, when I reach the last 2 obstacle, my teammates were already sitting on the top of the pile of dried grass and waiting for me. However, my legs cannot run anymore. So I walked towards them and started to climb up and down, and the last obstacle was wooden wall again, stepped on one of my teammate's thigh (which I forgot who) and climb over. Lastly, four of us hold our hands to run towards the finishing line. There were fireman with water pipes to splash water at us - which I think it's actually a good move as it cleaned us up thoroughly from the mud. With the medal, t shirt, cert, free milo and ice creams.
That is all from my 20km with obstacle. Not as gruesome when I think back now. I am stronger me :)
I want to thank my teammates, Lulu, Keen Mun and Wei Wei, for waiting for me (as I am the weakest link) and motivate me!
On the other note, I was out with Chee Ho and Mee Teng on Saturday night, I told them I am going to this viper challenge, and Chee Ho asked me, what kind of people you actually mix with? And I told them, athletes :D I'm going to be one also!

I found what I like to do - product reviews
I actually like to read reviews of products before I made my purchases and thus, decided to do some video reviews for the benefits of public, who is interested to understand and know more about those products. Maybe I still lack of some vocabs but surely I will improve on that!
I suddenly realized I have deleted the review for cellnique sebum gel T_T!

My collection of shades
I didn't actually aware I have so many shades until recently. It seems that suddenly I became collector of shades.. well I didn't have like 50 pairs or what, but average people doesn't have 5 pairs do they? Or am I just think too highly of myself? haha
Well, whatever it is, I'm going to share my collections today.
This is actually not my first shades, couldn't find the first one now, most probably I threw it away. That wasn't cheap stuff too.. but the lens are gone case.
I stumble upon some Christian Dior during my visit to Australia and found that each of the shape actually looks good on me. Oakley doesn't fit my face well.
Nevertheless, this is my first pair of polarized lens and there on, I wanted all my shades to have polarized lens (there's an exception of course, which I'll talk about that later). This is Cyber Eyeworks, fits perfectly well for asian face due to our high cheek bone, so when you smile, your cheek won't push the shades go upwards. RM135, bought it in 2008.
This is my next pair of shades from Ralph Lauren, couldn't remember the price, should be around USD130, bought in 2011 from Hawaii premium outlet. I didn't pay for this one. I found that there are different kinds of aviator style. Generally, the shapes are same but there are some little difference in them. Which you will need to try on each one to see if it fits your face.
I bought this from Australia in 2012. Guess it was around AUD40. Polarized lens as well. The brand is called Stiletto+. Tried to google but can't find it. So maybe it was some cheap brand, but hey more than RM100! I bought this because I do not have shades with this shape. Sounds I'm already starting to be a collector...
This pair of Michael Kors should be RM390. I am not too sure about the price because it was bought together with the RayBan I'm going to show later. It's quite similar to the Stiletto+ above but this is much bigger, kind of cover up half of my face. Non polarized, this is the exception I was talking about. I bought this one due to the wow effect and yes, I'm a superstar wannabe! LOL
My first RayBan. This one should be RM500+. This aviator looks similar like the Ralph Lauren but it's not as wide. The whole piece feels very flimsy, the side piece of steel/or is that aluminium? feels very thin and fragile.
Here's my current collection of shades. I'm estimating this collection will grow.

Wow my stamina!
I started to diligently go to gym starting from mid November 2012. Started with 2 days a week, and a day of yoga in my office. The feeling was really great, feeling so healthy. However, when I went to swim, I still feel the stamina is lacking. Wonder if it uses the different muscle. Anyway, fast forward to Jan 2013. I signed up for Workout Studio Fat to Fit program, which supposedly is a group training targeted at reducing the fat % in the body and of course weight. I need to perform a fitness test in order to be eligible to join the program. Mainly due to they don't want participants to have any kind of injury prior the exercise. And so, 336bucks for the program.
Turns out, i'm the only one who joined the program and yeay, I got personal trainer for a whole month, 3 times a week, for just 336bucks. The training was scheduled at every tue, thu and sat. Beginning I thought that was supposed to be an hour of class. However, even 30mins of high interval training can drain me out. I'm starting to exercise like 5times a week! LOL
This is the fourth and last week of the program, sadly, my weight didnt go down, it's still hovering around 64-63, and the fat % didn't go down as well. What kind of food did I take? Just like normal.. I realized if I control my food intake, I will crave even more. Thus, I decided to just leave it as normal.
Nevertheless, despite the results wasn't really promising, I do feel great about myself. Having resting on last sun, mon and missed the class on tue. I headed to gym yesterday and did some cross training, cycling and jogging. I was trying to jog for 20mins and somehow it struck me that I can do my interval training. And so, I started to run at normal speed, then sprinting for 20 secs, and run at normal speed again for 1:30mins. I'm so proud of myself as I was so determined to do 8 times of the interval training. Without trainer's monitoring. I was quite impressed of my stamina as well because I don't normally run non stop on thread mills for 30mins. But hey, I did it yesterday! yahoo! Now I know what to do next time when I hit to the gym :)
Prost! For a healthier me!

感激!
This is a post specially dedicated for Reagan, who has come to my aid in the time of need. I was in the midst printing my thesis slides and the cartridge was out of ink! Damn it! I have just print like how many pages before and it was out of ink?! Then I sourced for printers, tried to reprint to ensure it's the ink issue. Time is pressing as I got gym class and I need to get the paper poke with binding holes. Alas, I gave up my gym class, weighing the importance of my thesis presentation. After I got the papers poked with holes and got the comb, I was ready to on my way to digital mall to buy the cartridge. The hellish place with no parking -_- but that's the best bet where I can get the cartridge. Here comes the hero, Reagan called me and told me he managed to buy the ink and I was really thrilled! What a life saviour of mine!
Thus, I headed back home and prepare the remaining of my slides and wait for my cartridge to be delivered to me. Really 感激不尽。。。He has to come all the way to my place from bangsar after his dinner cum supper to send the cartridge to me. Can't thank him enough.
xoxo

Timing
My attempt to make an avocado milkshake today has enlightened me a thought - timing. I was so eager to have an avocado milkshake and thus I chose the most ripen looking avocado from the fridge. In fact, the color was just not even half brownish. Having trouble cutting it was already the sign of an unripe fruit. However, I was not even bothered by it, thinking after taking the fruit out and put into blender, everything would be fine. I spend like 20 minutes to skin the avocado (what a chore) and taking the seed out. Then here comes the blending part. The fruit was so tough! I had to cut it in small pieces and blend. The result was bad. It can't be blended. It was only chopped to fine pieces and that's it. And I gave up. Throwing everything away, wasted my money, time, energy and hope.
Here's the thought - when it's not time yet, do not rush into it thinking everything will be fine later. Do not ignore the signs of timing. When the time is not there yet, the result will just be bad. I must remind myself about that :)

Goodbye 2012 and welcome 2013!
This is the moment where I feel time really flies. I felt that I've missed so much, too much of things in 2012, and without realizing it, it's coming to an end and 2013 is just less than 24 hours later.
I had a rough year I guess, despite the saying that 2012 is good for piggies. Well, it might be good as in it is a blessing and lesson learnt year. After a continuous of 8 years in relationships, I am back in the market all alone again. I thought I will get married this year but well, things changed faster than what we have planned for. However, that could be a blessing for me after all. Nevertheless, I want to thank Ocean for taking care of me and giving me everything in our 4 years of relationship. I appreciated it a lot.
I have known many of amazing people in my life in 2012 as well. The importance of having quality friends around me, realizing I have many great friends who supported me through my rough patch. I really appreciate their existence in my life, sharing my tears and laughter. They have opened my mind and made me a more generous person.
I have read a lot this year as well, not my text books but many of motivational and self help range. Regina Brett brought me closer to God. Shelley taught me how to pray to God. Elin made me realize how God's approaches for me. Zynn taught me to optimize the usage of Law of Attraction. Menh Chooi kept checking up on me and I realized I can be a more caring person. I also learnt that what doesn't kill you, makes you a stronger person, very true indeed. When you have reach the bottom, you will always bounce back and you will never stay at the bottom. These are invaluable knowledge. Thank God for everything.
Looking back, I have not been an active participant in previous 8 years compared to this year. I enjoyed my time with my colleagues, ex colleagues, friends, diving buddies and my lifeguard friends a lot this year despite a rough beginning. When I started to let go of whatever is holding me back, I found my wholesome smile, my happy go lucky self back again. Quoting from a page "如果你找到一个能够笑得深刻的人,你一定会发现他也曾经哭得非常深刻" That's very true.
Life has never been greater!
I welcome 2013 with open heart! :D

Quote from Rabbi Ben Ezra by Robert Browning
Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith "A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!''

a great post by Suanie!
I must share Suanie's post here. The path to look for our ancestry back in Fuzhou, China :D
How we unexpectedly found our relatives in China
I was rather skeptical of those relatives claiming they were the real relatives until I saw the pictures of our great grandparents. That gave me enough goosebumps! I'm so happy to read this post!

The perks of being a wallflower
This movie caught my attention when I read that Nina Dobrev was in it, then later realize Emma Watson's in it too. After watching the trailer, I decided that to watch it. Jen was great to join me watching the movie!
The story talks about a introvert teenage guy and his life in the highschool. How he overcame his problems in his heart. I shan't reveal the story too much as there are synopsis on it. I enjoy watching this movie. Very interesting one.
The last script in the movie tell us about to live our life to the fullest, I was so touched by what the boy said. It's too bad that I can't find it online, neither that I could recall it. I am so happy that I've watched a nice movie after months!

Viva la vida
I felt so energetic and positive when I listen to this song. I didn't dwell into the lyrics, but the rhythm and groove of this song is so good!

Beautiful world
I realized that I have become like a kayu. Despite always saying people kayu. LOL
Just had a talk with Zynn and I was enlightened by her, as always. She's my motivator and good source of positiveness. Knowing different people lights up my day.
The world is so beautiful :)
